About this Flatbed Semi-Trailer

Our flatbed semi-trailer pairs a high-strength steel chassis with a low deck height, making container and bulk loading fast and stable on rough roads. Built in Liangshan — China's trailer manufacturing hub — every unit is engineered to meet the road, dimension and axle-load regulations of your destination country, so it is legal to register and operate on local highways.

Optional twist locks and an extendable deck adapt it to containers, pipes and long loads without changing the trailer.

Other Common Sizes & Configurations

Beyond the 13 m 3-axle standard, we build these flatbed variants to match different cargo and local road rules — all sizes, axle counts and capacities listed above are configurable to your specification:

  • 13.0 m × 2.5 m — 3-axle, 34–35 t; our most common size for standard markets
  • 13.75 m × 2.55 m — 3-axle extended deck for longer loads (within typical 13.75 m road limits)
  • 12.5 m × 2.5 m — 2-axle, lighter tare, lower running cost
  • 11.0 m × 2.5 m — 2-axle short platform for regional / urban routes
  • 40-ft container flatbed — fitted with twist locks for 20 / 40 / 45 ft ISO boxes

Flatbed Semi-Trailer Price

Indicative export pricing — your quote depends on specs and quantity.

FromUSD 8,000– 25,000

A standard 3-axle 40-ft container flatbed typically runs USD 8,000 – 15,000 from our Liangshan factory. Higher specs — 4-axle, air suspension, thicker main beam, branded axles/landing gear — push toward the top of the range.

Pricing reflects our factory-direct export rates; final quotation is confirmed against your exact specification and order volume.

How the Flatbed Compares

Not sure which trailer type fits your cargo? Here is how the flatbed differs from close alternatives.

vs Lowbed Semi-Trailer

Flatbed keeps a high flat deck (1.2–1.55 m) for standard cargo; the Lowbed Semi-Trailer drops the deck to ≤1,150 mm (and can be wider, up to 3,000 mm) to carry oversized or over-height machinery.

vs Skeletal Semi-Trailer

Flatbed has a full deck for loose cargo and equipment; the Skeletal Semi-Trailer is frame-only with twist locks — lighter, built purely for ISO containers, with no flat platform.

vs Fence Semi-Trailer

Flatbed has no side rails and relies on strapping; the Fence Semi-Trailer adds removable stake rails for ventilated, side-accessible bulk loads.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a Flatbed Semi-Trailer?
Standard configurations ship in 25–35 days; custom specs may take longer. We confirm the exact date in the proforma invoice.
Do you handle shipping to my country?
Yes. We ship FOB Qingdao or CIF to major ports in Africa, the Middle East and South America, and can arrange container, RORO or bulk shipment.
Can the trailer be customized?
Absolutely. Axle brand, suspension, tyres, floor thickness, twist locks, painting and tool boxes are all adjustable to your operation.
What is the difference between a flatbed and a lowbed semi-trailer?
A flatbed keeps a high flat deck (1.2–1.55 m) for standard cargo; a lowbed drops the deck to ≤1,150 mm (and can be wider, up to 3,000 mm) to carry oversized or over-height machinery such as excavators and transformers.
How many axles do I need for my payload?
A 2-axle flatbed suits lighter regional loads; the 3-axle 40-ft is the standard at 40 t GVW (≈34–35 t payload); choose 4 axles when your cargo and local rules demand higher capacity. We match axle count to your rated payload and road regulations.
Can a flatbed carry ISO shipping containers?
Yes. With optional twist locks it secures 20 ft, 40 ft and 45 ft ISO containers. Lock positions are set to your typical box size at the factory.
What is the deck height and why does it matter?
The deck sits 1.2–1.55 m above ground. A lower deck makes crane and forklift loading easier and keeps the loaded height within road limits — important for bridges and tunnels.
Is the flatbed legal for road use?
Every unit is engineered to meet the outer-dimension, axle-load and GVW limits of your destination country's road regulations. We confirm length, width and axle configuration against your local rules before shipment, so it is legal to register and operate.
Which suspension is better — mechanical or air?
Mechanical leaf suspension is the robust, cost-effective default for most freight. Air suspension is recommended for fragile or high-value cargo and smoother long-haul rides; it is available as an option.
